Wales Comic Con – Darryl Costume

This isn’t an overly complicated costume, I’m sure you’ve seen it before if you love the Walking Dead like me.

Firstly you need the obligatory leather waistcoat, doesn’t matter what else you go with, if you’re missing that, you won’t be recognised.

I don’t know who took this picture, can anyone tell me?

So I started out copying the wings and then trying to make them big enough for the waist coat, I got the height up the back right, but the length is a bit off.

Then I had to get them dirty, turns out the dirt in my garden isn’t grubby enough so I resorted to coffee. The image below was after I walked them in the mud 🤣

Perhaps I should have rubbed the dirt right into the fabric wings, coz these aren’t dirty enough.

I tried to stitch them on but I confess I ran out of time. So I used modge podge 🤣🤣

Then I added a black shirt, dark grey jeans and stompy black boots. However, on the day I packed the wrong jeans and left my back boots behind 😑 so I had a Negan/Darryl cross over. Take a look below to see how it turned out on the day.
