What’s Your Plan?

So the new WW plans have come out, I won’t lie, I’m a little sad that I didn’t get to join in with all the fun of the build up. Obviously this isn’t a subject for everyone, so if you’re not interested, not a fan or just happy the way you are, don’t feel you need to read on.

But I am happy to give them a go and see what I can do with them. Obviously, I’m a little biased, because I think the plan works well and I’ve lost on it. If I’d struggled or done badly I maybe wouldn’t be so keen, who knows.

So there are 3 new plans, well not entirely new, but trust me that’s a good thing. The first is the blue plan, this gives you more daily Smartpoints (sp, the points you use for your everyday foods), with fewer 0sp foods. This category has the least 0sp options, but for those who don’t eat a lot off that list normally anyway, this is a really useful choice. I may give it a try and if I do I’ll let you know what I think, but for now, knowing how many members I had that didn’t do so well with the 0sp foods, this will definitely give more freedom to them.

The second is the green plan, this is literally the plan as it was, not changed. So if you’re happy on the plan you’re on and don’t want them to change anything, you don’t have to now. I still remember the dismayed people who were doing well and didn’t want to change plans, this will be a very pleasant surprise for them and should they plateau or need a change they can switch to one of the others and come back to it later. This one has the mid-range of daily sp, with around 200 0sp foods so that’s a pretty good selection and not one to be sniffed at, in my opinion at least. You’ll find no potatoes or pasta on their (totally just wrote our lol) 0sp list here because carbs are turned into glucose and glucose is stored if not used. Since you want to shift what you’re storing, keeping an eye on how much you have is a good thing, its not off-limits, it’s just not unlimited either.

The closest to the no count plan that was around before is the purple plan, this has the lowest dailies, though I appear to have more weeklies than I used to have. But the list of 0sp foods is bigger still and does include potatoes – still good to watch how much you have, too much of anything is bad for you. This is the one I have decided to try, I have been struggling to get back on track since I’ve been off work, my favourite exercises have been a lot harder for me and my motivation has been lacking.

That said I’m healing well and now have to rebuild all the strength in my arms (and back), I look forward to getting back on track, I need to replace my wireless earphones, but I have my Zombies! Run app installed and ready to go, I just need my trainers and my earphones.

Now I am going to use my list of 0sp to sort my shopping for the end of the month, ready for payday, I look forward to seeing how I get on with this. Keep an eye on my old WW Instagram, if you’re interested in following how I’ve gotten on, that will be the place to go.

Remember, it’s okay to want to lose weight, it’s okay to want to improve your health, but do it for you. I don’t agree with telling people to lose weight but if someone wants to, I believe in supporting them 100%.
